Shauna Henson is a brand cultivator, consultant to visionary people, and creative communication specialist from Baltimore, Maryland. With over 13-years under her entrepreneurial belt, she is known as the brand-building Maven, and has become a sought-after expert in the area of social media strategy and leveraging the art of personal brand building.
After graduating with honors from Morgan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Shauna transitioned her creative energy into a graphic design company where she amassed an impressive client list including several high profile, multi-million dollar organizations throughout Baltimore City and the surrounding area.
Driven by her passion for all things entrepreneurial, Shauna started a brand education company called Made for Mavens, to support individuals navigating the world of starting their own businesses “DIY” their brand identities. Using her patented system “The Maven Method,” Shauna has created opportunities for small businesses to find their way into clear, cohesive brands that allow them to be competitive in their desired industry.
Using her creative communication background, Shauna also launched a digital magazine called MVN, focused on brand development. In early 2019, after only a few months, the magazine quickly gained public recognition as a local entrepreneurial resource and landed her a television appearance on the Fox45 Business segment.
Prior to beginning her entrepreneurial journey in 2007, Shauna worked as a Systems Engineer at Raytheon Company in Falls Church, Virginia, where she became proficient in project management, budget analysis, and leadership development.
Through Big Brand Theory, her online master level course, Shauna provides participating students with the pivotal framework to transform their mindset, build out meaningful work through personal branding, and use principles of lifestyle design to fuel their goals.
During a pivotal point in the company, Shauna took on a role as the Chief Innovation, Marketing & Brand Strategy Officer for greiBO Entertainment, a multimedia and large-scale events company making its mark in the emerging virtual and hybrid event space. Through greiBO, Shauna was able to make an impact in the digital strategies and presences of corporations, government agencies, and non-profit organizations such as the Captial Region Minority Supplier Development Council (CRMSDC), the Maryland State Board of Elections, the Virginia Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Business Center, and the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange.
Over the past 14 years, Shauna has used her unique approach to brand building to help countless entrepreneurs and business owners hone in on their message, clarify their goals and vision, and continue to build meaningful lives centered on things they feel called to do.
